I stayed in the Chiara Apartments last in June 2002 for a week. We were a party of 5 20 year olds. The apartments themselves were nice, but they were quite dark. We did not like the lighting. We were hardly in there although we spent a night on the balcony. We ended up using the pool on the back of the apartments after asking the shop owner nicley. The location is good as there are shops and pubs close by. The beach was not too far either. It was good for our needs althouhg we would have liked a bigger balcony!!!!
Rachel, we went with Thomas Cook last year and booked the Boat Trip. It cost us either 30 or 35 euros. I would say whether it was good or bad but we got up late and missed the coach by about 15 minutes. It wasnt our fault - we had jetlag!!!
Corfu Town was nice. It was good to just look around at the buildings and people. We got lost in the suburbs somewhere and ended up retacing our steps back to the ain part of town. The suburbs were lovely and the people were nice. Those who could speak English said hello to us. We bought some nice souvenirs as well. Does anyone remember the park there where the kids could get them electric cars. Wish i could have fitted on one!
We went on a cabaret night from Sidari to Roda. That was brilliant. We paid 25 euros and it included the coach, free beer and wine. The show was great. On the way home we persuaded our tour rep Norman to come on a pub crawl with us. Absolutely brilliant night. Norman knew exactly where the best places were.
