My partner Flo and i have stayed in the Nikos 3 times the last being 2001. We have always found the people very friendly and helpful. The apartments are basic but clean. We hope to visit again soon and readily recommemd the apartments to anyone.
Always felt comfortable and were made welcome there except for the odd bucket of ice water thrown over you when sunbathing. Angelo's breakfast is worth a try along with a tequila sunrise or a low alcohol Amstel. Sophia's chip butties are extra special as a snack. Could do without Tom's baby antics and insomnia. Watch out for Lennie's food snatching and Michael's pub crawling. All in all a good place to be. Florence(Mrs Cucumber) and Laurence
This is the place to be. whether you, like myself do not eat too much in the heat, Costas will serve a baby portion of anything without a moan. Feast your eyes on the delicious Mario and drool over the wonderful desserts on offer. Mario could be my starter for a euro anyday. Best dish of the day without a doubt is swordfish followed by stifado. Wonderful. See you there sometime.

Loz and I have been to Roda for six times. We have got to know the people and the resort. The water is reasonable depending on your constitution certainly o.k. for teeth cleaning. The locals are friendly and as long as you treat their country with the respect it deserves you will be so rewarded. The place is clean the food good and all facilities are what I would expect the only problem found is the occasional yobbo who I am ashamed to say has the same dialect as me. Laurence and Florence
Flo and I stayed in the Elenitsa last July and found it very good. We were delighted to leave the windows open at night as the mosquitos were rarely to be found. Apart from the usual wonky Greek fridge the apartments suited our needs very well.
And yes they are opposite the Nikos.
Flo, myself abd many of our friends who have regularly gone to Roda make Vengeles place a must to eat and eat often. He is an expert at catching the bees between 2 menus - watch for it.
The best accommodation I have had in my 20 years of going to Greece.
The apartments were very well furnished and the sit manager, Ian, could not do enough for us. The village area was very quiet at night and was well lit. We had to tell the cleaners not todo so much. There was a change of bedding every 3 days and hey wer mopping-out on a daily basis. We have booked again already for 2005 as have many others that were there in July this year. Flo and I would definitely recommend the Paradise Village to stay in and you will get half price breakfasts at the Alexandros Pool Bar if you do.
We have been frequenting the Harbour Bar most years since 1996 and have always had a great time with Spiro, Socrates and Andreas (the dad). Good atmosphere, good music and good booze. This year was just like the rest - great. See you again next year. Anyone who goes to Roda must visit thie harbour Bar.

I have been going to many parts of Greece for 20 years and I can honestly say that this was the best Greek food I have tasted. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. If you go back to Roda then this restaurant is a must. try the Athens pie as a starter or the mushrooms in red wine and coriander or maybe octapus. The owner will either offer you free wine or sweet. Take the wine because if you have starter and main course you will not have room for the sweet. Flo and I are going back next year for the month of July and hope to see you at Spitiko.
Totally agree with those comments which were critical of Olympic. Flo and I travelled with them July 2003. The rep kept us on the bus for 45 mins while she waited for her brother and his girlfriend to arrive. They were not Olympic guests. She gave no info to the new arrivals and we never saw her during our 2 week stay. I wrote to Olympic complaining but they did not want to know. That's why we booked our own flights and apartments this year and it paid off. We saved on the flights & apartments. Ian of the Paradise Village had a taxi waiting. We have done the same for 2005 & for 4 weeks again.
