We have booked at the Marina Apartments in Arillas
are they part of the marina hotel and what is the best route to drive from the airport. Thanks
my nan and grandad live in arillas and we go to the Marina most nights while were staying at there house. i think the Marina have freindly staff and they are always willing to help. my nan and grandad are very lucky to have great friends like them.
David and I had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. All the staff are friendly. The rooms are very small but clean, the view from our room was great as we had a front facing one, but I understand that all room have a sea view. Breakfast was OK - fruit salad, cereal, toast & jam, orange squash and tea or coffee. You can pay a discounted price of 2.50 euros for a cooked one, which again was OK. The taverna is open all day for snacks and drinks, and the evening meals were excellent with a choice of 2 or 3 daily specials in additon to the normal menu. Average cost of a meal for 2 was £16 less a 10% discount for hotel guests, this was for a starter & main course, a couple of beers and 1/2 caraffe of wine.
Hello. We stayed in Arillas twice in the past about five years ago but not at the Marina Hotel, however we did eat at the hotel a few times and the food was good. The village was very small with mainly one road in and out. It was peaceful and friendly then and I would imagine things haven't changed much. The Marina is in the centre of the village close to the beach. There were a couple of cocktail bars near to the Marina but we did not like these. The beach is narrow and the sea is good with the chance to get an all over tan at the far end of the beach if you wish!!. The area is good for walking and you can walk over the bay in both directions to Aghios Georgios and San Stefinos, a bit of a trek though but well worth it for the views. We enjoyed both our Holidays in Arillas and hope you do the same, congratulations on your anniversary.
Sorry for the brevity of my 1st query. David & I are going to spend 2 wks @ the Marina commencing 30/9/02. We've had the hol. booked for over a yr now & we'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary while away. We've had 2 hols on Corfu staying in Roda & Aghios Georgios (North). We are hoping for a peaceful but friendly resort with good food and clean accomodation. We also hope to walk to nearby villages if poss. maybe even visit Aghios Georgios again. We'd be really grateful for any comments about either the resort or hotel. Thanks Cheryl
What are the roomslike? What is the food like? What kind of atmosphere does the bar have in the evenings?
