Fantastically situated apartments, in beautiful gardens. Because Katerina only has threee apartments she lets out, there is a lovely 'close' feeling, and it gives you chance to get to know other guests well as you all sunbathe areound the beautiful pool.
Katerina and her hubbie look after the apartments and the beautiful gardens well. Our apartment was cleaned twice in aweek, which i personally think is fine, and we had lots of rain, but it didnt leak in. We were in the older block.
Would recomend Katerina's to anyone, and we are hoping to return next year.
We stayed in the one bedroom apartement(the older block)and were slightly dissapointed. There were only three rooms in our apartement one with two single beds and the other room had the kitchen, dining room and a dated, wooden sliding door led into the toilet/shower. when sitting on the loo, drips from the sink which is just centimeters away, splashes onto your knees. Water from the shower goes all over the floor but can be easily mopped with the two hand towels provided!
I live in Aghios Gordios and know Katerina very well! I'm english by the way and loved it so much in Aghios Gordios that I stayed! The appartments are basic (like most places in Greece) but are beautifully kept by Katerina & her husband Demitri. I think she has just 3 appartments that are located around their pool (which is quiet and secluded). If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday then I think you will love it. The majority of people that stay with Katerina come back year after year and she has many English friends although she doesn't speak a workd of English!
The resort as a whole is quiet, peaceful with a village feel to it....everyone is VERY friendly and if you speak the local business owners they will treat you like family! Katerina has been known to teach her customers how to make Baclava in the afternoons and then give it to all her guests...so beware!!!
If you are coming, come and say hello! I run Sebastian's Taverna (which is next door)and we also have Kosmar guests staying in our accomodation. If you want to see some photos of our Taverna and the village have a look at our website http://www.sebastians-taverna.gr
Hope this helps
