Dassia Chandris Hotel - (Accommodation in Dassia)

Thomas B

It is October 6, 2003, and I am actually at this hotel (by the way with free internet!). I am totally satisfied with the services provided here, also the cleanliness is spotless and the staff is very friendly and helpful. All rooms have a balcony, the major part of therooms have a view to the ocean. I just step out of my balcony, walk fifty meters and there I am - at the beach. The beach itself has some gravel and mzybe three meters into the water, but then it's a pure sand ground without mud or algae, just fantastic!

I can recommend this hotel 100%! I if I should come back to Kerkyra, as Corfu is called in Greek, I definitely will stay at this hotel again.

On the same compound is also the Corfu Chandris Hotel, which is the super luxury version of the Dassia Chandris, way too much for me, and the average age of the guests is much higher than at the Dassia Chandris. The advantage is that staying at one of the two hotels, you can participate in the activities of both. Also the animation team does a great job, opposed to what I experienced in hotels in other countries.

If you're coming to Corfu, stay at the Dassia Chandris!!

October - (Best Time to Visit)

Thomas B

October is definitely not the worst time of the year to come to Corfu. I am here right now at the Dassia Chandris hotel and although we had some raindrops last night, the temperatures are still between 24 and 32 degrees centigrade. I don't know the water temperature but it is in any case delightfully warm to swim. Don't hesitate to come here, also now!

Boat trip to Paxos - (Corfu Excursions)

I was disappointed of my tour to Paxos. Because of high waves we couldn't enter the caves at Paxos, nor go to Antipaxos, which might have been more appealing. We got to go ashore in Laaka, a small village on Paxos island, but there is nothing much to see in two hours, we were there. Furthermore, there are flies that sting! If going three, make sure to have a bug repellant with you!

Instead of Antipaxos, we went to the Blue Lagoon, which I enjoyed.

In my opinion, you easily can skip the Paxos - Antipaxos trip and instead take the tour to Parga and the Blue Lagoon

This is a must!! Go there and you finally will see, what turquoise water means. You enter the bay and all of a sudden you see the blue ground of the water and your only wish is to jump right into it! You will enjoy this!!!!
