I went B & B but the breakfast was only coffee, fruit juice, two rounds of toast with butter and strawberry jam EVERY DAY. I wish I had gone self catering but the rooms with B & B had the best views of the sea and mountains.A fridge is definitely an advantage for keeping cool drinks as it was 42C in August. This hotel is 20/30 minutes walk from the best beaches.
The taverna's seats were covered in grease which was the only problem with this trip. Beach was excellent but on trying to walk into village very little to see.
The walk up to the light house on yhe old fort gave excellent views of the town. A meal in the restaurants next to the cricket pitch gave
gives good views of the old fort as the sun goes down and the floodlights come on. You need to allow 11/2 hours for this as service is slow.
We ate hear three times, once for the Greek night which was very good.
The stifado was excellent.
We had two meals here and both were very good. Don't sit and watch the ejector seat ride next door as this may upset you.
