Acharavi - (Resorts on Corfu)

Anthony F

Just got back from Acharavi. Had a last minute deal so did not no what to epect. A pleasant surprise. Good amenities. The resort was fairly laid back and was not too crowded even in the high season. Some of the beach taverners especially SKONDROS offer great food as the sun is going down over the sea. Two teanage boys enjoyed the mainly sandy beach as long as there is plenty of money to spend on watersports. Aqualand a good afternoon out - cheap after 3pm. Overall, I would go back as it is well connected to other parts of the island. Tip - hire a car in the UK before you go as you can normally get a better deal although Acharavi Travel near the pump offered some of the best travel deals of all types we could find on the island.Went into Corfu Town on our last evening. The old town is well worth a visit. WARNING we got ripped off big time when we were tired and hot by the BEST TOP outside resturant who ended up charging us £50 for a meal they said would cost £25. They prey on tired tourist.

Kapetanious Apartments - (Accommodation in Acharavi)

Two minutes from the beach with own pool. Simple and basic apartments which are cleaned everyday. Small shop opposite which is open all hours. Excellent host - Demitri. Each apartment has its own terrace or balcony. Some building work nearby but this is due to be completed soon and was not noisy during the day. Very friendly dog.

Trip to Corfu Town - (Corfu Excursions)

Old town was excellent - many things to buy but beware of the BEST TOP outside eating place. They ripped us off big time as they did to some Germans at the same time!
