We went to mad mikes on holiday in last week of july 2013. The cash machine outside Tzevenos wasn't working (as normal) so he offered us a breakfast, some cash and a lift into town to get some cash. The guy did all he could to help, brill breakfast, nice place, good pool tables and a happy bloke all round. Can't fault him,
had a great time at mad mikes breakfasts were great well worth the money kept us going all day survice was exceptional and very freindly, elea and his unique humour always makes me chuckle
hi when we were in s george sth 2 years ago at the end of may mad mikes was not open, we are returning this may 23rd and were wondering if it had closed down thank you
thought it was brillent!!!!
If you want a good Breakfast go to Mad Mikes Excellent keeps you going all day.
mad mikes was a laugh, Mad mike, elea, and barman jonny were dead friendly and made us feel welcome! we would deffently give mad mikes 10 out of 10 for every thing as we think it was the best bar in st georges. a special thanks to Elea for making our last evening a real greek experience, throwing a greek BBQ with Greek dancing and music, and his own special humour it was fab. Thanks Mad mikes you made our Holiday!
Tatty old place. Can't work out what all the fuss is about. Had a couple of games of pool and then found somewhere more lively.
we went last month and this was the first place we decided to have breakfast after reading the positive feedback.the service was quick but it was as if the food had been left on the plate over night ready for the first vulnerable customers to walk in.i would deffinately not be reccomending it as a great place to eat!!!
We went to Mad Mikes on a few occasions in July mainly for our boys to play pool,we were a bit disappointed after all the hype we'd read before our visit. It was just like any other drinking bar.
Mad Mikes - we were told it was a great place. Only had one drink and went else where.
Nice atmosphere, however bar was a little tatty, not tempted to try the food, as it was nothing different to what you get in England, and the toilets were disgusting! Try Le Bistrot, which is just down the road, lovely sea views, same price drinks, staff really friendly and it is incredibly clean!
Great place for a breakfast and it should sustain you until dinner time, perhaps a snack in between times.
For a night out it's hard to be beaten. The drinks are very reasonably priced. The music is good. The staff are very friendly,(it's a family run business).Sharon cooks the breakfast and Elea and his dad Mike run the bar.Say no more... try it for yourself!
we stayed in the resort in aug 2003 visited mad mikes every day for breakfast and for drinks in the evening elea is very friendly his wife (who is from bristol)made great english breakfast nothing is to much trouble going back aug 2004
Grotty looking but fab Breakfasts, good value for money. Fast service and pleasant enough, found other places of same quality and cost. Not a place to shout about.
Best breakfasts at the best prices on the resort. Very friendly people but you have to have a sense of humour and not take things seriously as they do like to have a laugh.
It was a little walk from our hotel we were staying (St. George Hotel) but this was much better than the two slices of bread and butter that we were receiving at the hotel, which is why we didn't visit the bar at night, however im sure the place is just as friendly and fun as it is in the morning.
They have 5 pool tables where you pay for how long you use it, not 1.5 euros like most other bars. 30 minutes play was about 2.5 euros!
I recommend this place to anyone, especially the breakfasts....
We just love this place. We know the family for several years now and it always feels like coming home. They are really very very very nice and honest people. Even if I don't like a typical english breakfast, I LOVE their Bacon Baps, they are delicious!! In the night you can enjoy one of their famous cocktails... or a nice cold beer. Not expensive, and always served with a big smile.
Both Mad Mike and son of Mad Mike couldn't have been friendlier. They were able to suggest plenty places to us and went out of their way to help us have a great holiday so maybe some people just can't take a joke.
best and friendlest bar in st georges every body allways laughing and haveing fun the breakfast relly is english carry on the good work mike elen and gemma
Have been going to St George for about 14 years now and a stop at Mad Mikes is a must. Both Mike and his son are absolutely mad, but the bar is fantastically cheap and the lunchtime food menu is one of the best there i.e large and cheap! Will definately being going back when we return this year.
What a dump!, We asked the son of Mad Mike where the best places were to visit on the island. He replied - I serve drinks you want information you ask your f'ing rep. We found him so rude we walked out gobsmacked, all I can say is keep well away he is a knob!
I have been to St.George South 14 times now and go to Mad Mike's every night during our stay.Always have a good laugh and have made many friends there. When you visit Mad Mike's you will understand how the Bar got it's name. You also get a first class English Breakfast, if you have the Olympic Breakfast you will not need any more food until the evening.
