Me and my friend stayed at Rebecca's village this summer (July/ August 07). We booked a self catering holiday so was under the influence that this would profide adequate kitchen facilites and also a shop close by. Neither of which was the case! Being two young girls of 19 we did not expect to be so far away from any life as the nearest shop, bar, restaurant or club was at least a 25 minute walk away. This may not sound to bad but when there is no street lighting or pavement this can be very dangerous to walk through, especially at night as these are small winding country roads!
As for the apartment, we had an ants nest above our bath where hundreds of ants came pouring out and a birds nest above our front door! If this wasn't bad enough when we called the rep out to clear our apartment he complained that we was annoying him on his night of. Charming! The cleaners came and sprayed our bathroom and told us not to return in the bathroom for the next 24 hours. The reps answer to us not being able to wash for a day or use the toilet facilites was to use the communal toilets and the showers by the pool! Nice!
I would not return to Rebecca's village again or reccomend it to anyone. And as for Olympic holidays, they were very unhelpful and did not help us with any of our problems.

Just back from a week at Rebeccas Villiage. Bad Points: When we arrived at 4pm the appartment floor was soaking wet in bleach. My partner and I were both wearing trousers which are now ruined. We complained to the rep and were given 15 Euros compansation which was an insult. The bathroom shower was not up to standards but was OK.
The cooking facilities were poor. You only had use of the hobbs as the oven was screwed shut.
Good Points: The grounds were really nice. The pool and snack bar were great. The room we had was really spacious. The bar staff were really friendly.
The appartments are located 5 minutes (in a taxi) from Sidari town center. Its 5 Euro's each way which isn't bad and I wouldn't want to walk it!

It’s a fantastic place - people are very friendly - safe for children – i am due to go in august and that will be my 3rd time. Food is ok but I prefer eating out.

Great location about 15 mins walk from Sidari Beautiful grounds big swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. A good selection of bar snacks poolside. The main restaurant served very good English breakfasts for less than 5 Euros till 11.00 am and a good range of well priced meals in the evening but the biggest plus was the wonderful relaxing feel of rebecca's. the staff were very friendly and helpful Yanni seemed to never stop working Perfect for a relaxing family holiday We will definately go back there again

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Rebeccas. This was the best holiday we have had. The staff at Rebeccas are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We hab a 1 bedroom apartment sleeping 5 - basic but fine for the amount of time you actually spend indoors. Food served at Rebeccas is home cooked - fine but you can get better by eating at local tavernas/restaurants. The walk into the main resort of Sidari takes a good 25 mins on a hot day. The local beach is about 15 mins walk but there is a shuttle minibus. Taxis are only 5 euros - a set fee to anywhere in Sidari. If returning by foot, late at night, you will need a torch!! Pool great for children of all ages. Tennis is quite pricey. Kids were happy playing snooker when not in pool. You pay extra for air-con - quite pricey at 5 euros per day. Not much in the way of noise (unless you have noisy neighbours) as Rebeccas is situated a long way off the main road from Sidari - Roda. Would certainly recommend this to families with children of all ages.

| Rebeccas Village is beautiful, but is is quite far from town and beach. It took me 15 - 20 mins to walk to beach and same to nearest supermarket. We walked in to town most nights and it was dark and there is no paths, def take a torch!A taxi back was 5 euros. The staff are friendly, especcially Yannis, and all the housekeeping staff. You could get a pint at side of pool for 2.50 and a snack for about 3 - 5 euros. If you ate breakfast in Restaurant it was 4.80 for full english and it was beautiful. Never ate there on a night tho but heard it was OK. The cooking facilities in the room was a bit poor, it was a camping stove with two rings!!!We stayed for 2 weeks for £209.00 so I can't grumble but the distance could put oldies off. On the whole we thought it was fabulous. | ||||||||||
