just returned from holiday after staying here. the tour operator is libra. It was a bit way out but the walk did us good. I think it is still owned by the same family who were nice & friendly & tried to please. The only problem we had as there were 3 adults (me,my mom & cousin) we were expecting to be in the main block with 2 rooms & a balcony. My cousin stayed here in sept 06 with her friend & booked a studio & was given a room in the main block (room 2). So we decided to book exactly the same as thought this would be big enough for the 3 of us but was put into a bungalow (smurf hut). I asked the rep - Ian who told us the studio's - which are a 1 room are the same as the bungalows. I then asked why they call some rooms appartments, studio' & bungalows, this is mis-leading. Still didn't get anywhere (not very helpfull & didn't return on the monday as he promised to try & move us). All in all though we still had a good time, it was clean, just a bit too small for the 3 of us.

CAN ANYONE HELP????
We stayed at these apartments in 2005 and loved every minute of it. The staff and owners were friendly and made us feel really at home. was a bit of a walk from the centre but you pass bars and restaraunts along the way. The blue bungalows are beautiful the only down side is there was no balcony.
We have been trying to find out which tour operator they are using this year, can anyone help please? Also does anyone know if it is still ran by the same family, the owner was called Alex and his wife and son worked there also.

Food was crap and over priced. Accomodation is NOT 10 minutes away from centre, especially when you are constantly worrying about children whilst walking down the VERY busy main road. Prices charged at the bar were more than 3 times those in town, although this was dependent upon who was serving at the time!!!. Rooms are poor even by Greek standards and badly maintained. Towel changes are very hit & miss; we had 3 in 2 weeks even after complianing more than once. Owners children run the bar and use it for their own enjoyment untill the small hours....loudly! Pool is very good and the kids had a great time in it. Buddies bar does a great breakfast and the Venizia pizzeria has constantly great food at the right price (avoid the garden steak house unless you enjoy chewing camel ears as that is what they seemingly call steak!) Book Aqualand in town (Value travel was reasonable). We paid 18euros per person with a discount for the kids and went direct on the "express" bus. Those that booked with the rep paid 38euros and travelled all over Sidari picking up and dropping off people on the same trip.Incidentally the Libra rep was an absolute waste of space and we will make a point of NEVER using that company again. Overall a very poorly run accomodation too far away from the restaurants and shops and not recommended for anybody unable to walk a great distance or those with young children.

| Just got back today from alexia palm grove, didn't really have too many problems with the noise as described below, but we were in the blue apartments round the back. I know one or two nights we could hear it, but it didn't seem excessive. The accomadation is set well back from the road and i spent most of my 2 weeks lying around by the pool. There were quite a few young families there whose kids enjoyed the place, it is out of main sidari aswell so it doesn't have many people around. I have pictures of the place if anyone wants to see the rooms etc, and if they want anymore info let me know. All in all i had a fantastic holiday and would consider going back again for sure! | ||||||||||

The apartments we stayed in were brilliant. There are little gazebo studios just behind the main apartments which are totally charming. There was everything you could need close to hand (and it's less than a 5 min walk to the big Super Market at the BP garage). There is a kettle, oven and hob in all rooms (although we couldn't figure out how to work the oven - the food is good in the local restaurants and it's very cheap to eat out - try Salt and Pepper Restaurant which is only about a 5 minute walk away).
It is also close to the shop (Othona's which sells everything including good mosquito repellant and nice fruit).
The walk to the beach will take about 15 - 20 minutes and the main street with the bars is not that much further to walk.
Alex amd Kostas were brilliant and kept us entertained with the greek dancing! ![]()

Would just like to say that I stayed here for 1 week in early July, 11th to 18th 2005, and had a great time, the people were very friendly, the location was fine, just outside the main town centre, contrary to what other people have said it is probably about ten minutes walk to the centre of town (they must have been on a pub crawl for it to take 45 mins). I had a totally relaxing time sat by the pool every day except 1 where I went on a trip into Corfu Town, (book with local company as it is a lot cheaper than with the agents). Food was excellent although I did eat only breakfast every day at the apartments, drinks were much the same price as town if not cheaper !! I actually stayed in one of the small beach hut type buildings at the back of the main block, unusal but very good. The Blue block which is across the road is about 50metres away, yes above a supermarket, but if you counted the amount of cars that stopped daily you would realise that it is more like a small corner shop at home, not busy at all.
Sidari itself is is only about 20 mins walk through the town centre from end to end, plenty of bars and restaurants, food reasonably priced, also very friendly atmosphere throughout, and I would honestly say that this is one of the only places that I would go back to again, in fact my partner has already me to re-book for next year.

The apartments are very basic, and some studio apartments have to be accessed via some very steep fire escape type stairs (no good for people with young children). The bathrooms are of a very poor standard. The blue apartments are located quite some distance away from the main complex on the opposite side of a very busy road.
The bar is very quite and the food very poor and expensive. The Greek night a BBQ that they advertise is a waste of money the food is very poor and you can see much better dancing in the main town.
The main town and beaches are a good 45 min walk away from the apartments.
Overall I would say that Sidari is a lovely place and we had a great time - but stay somewhere other than the Alexia Palm Grove.
