Hello, I'm thinking about going to kapetanios apartments, how many apartments is there all together :)
What a great place, i read all the comments before going and the place really lived up to them So sad to be back but have already booked to go back next year with Thomas Cook again.
Message for Laura. Thomas Cook have holiday packages for these apartments
Can anyone tell me which tour operator has Kapetanios for 2009? I've looked in loads of brochures and on the web and can't find them anywhere! We went in 2005 and wanted to make a return visit. Do they have their own website?
Just arrived back from kapetanios apartments, I'm so sad to be home!! I loved every minute of my holiday. I arrived on the friday afternoon and was greeted by Nikos with a wonderful smile, I went on holiday on my own, but I was never on my own Nikos an Spyros made sure I was well looked after and had a gret time day and night. My glass was never empty and there was always a friendly face to talk to. So if your going on holiday choose kapetanios, you will be so glad you did. The rooms are great and clean the pool and bar are excellent. and Nikos and Spyros will look after you from the day you arrive untill you go home. I will be back there next year. Can't wait!!!
back a week now and still depressed. This was our second visit to the good ship kapetanios. We had a fantabulous time. The apts are basic but very clean. There is plenty of places in san stefanos to eat ,drink or have a great night out.The kapetanios is a great place to meet new people .Nicos and Spiros work there and make the holiday for us .They are absolutely brilliant making you feel very welcome in every way. We spent alot of our holiday in their company and they never see you with an empty glass. The rep Amandine (aberdeen)also helped to make it the perfect holiday along with (the rep we never had) Mandi. We are going back next year and cant wait .Look out Nicos and Spiros, mera bira paracalor !!!!!!!. Come on !!!!! Get yourself over there you wont regret it
I stayed at the kapetanios apartments in sept 2005 the staff were friendly but accomodation was well below standard. We arrived at 6am to realise that the room didnt have a cot for our two year old son we then waited until 11pm before a shody and dirty looking travel cot arrived. The area is extremely hilly with a good 15 to 20 min walk round to thebeach or whatseemed to be a bout 400 steps(slightly exagurated) so it was a nightmare with a pushchair. The local restaurants and bars were great especially the greek nights that they held there. The appartments were very disappointing. the best day we had was on aptain Theos boat well worth every pound.
I have to say I wont be going back to corfu and the way I feel I wont be going to any of the greek islands if theyre anything to go by corfu.
Hello There, Fresh off the flight this morning and wanted all to see what i thought about Kap. We stayed there for 2 weeks first thing first me and my Gf threw our bags in unpacked and set off to have a look at what the resort had to offer,we went to the welcome meeting with Amandine (Frenchie) the rep, we thought the meeting was very helpful and gave us a little more insite to what we could do and where we could go. Within mins of getting back to the side of the pool from our walk a very cheary dark blonde haired man made his way and introduced himself as Nikos, he came across very pleaseant and only too pleased to help with any requests. having been up all night traveling we opted to rest by the side of the pool where we had a drink and took in the start of what was to be a beautiful holiday. :) that evening as nikos's shift ended Spiros arrived a little quieter than nikos but all the same a wonderful attitude and very polite and cortious towards us, we found that as the holiday went on getting to know spiros and nikos that little better making the quiet moments into some thin a little more pleasant. The food in the Kap is really nice chicken soup is nice and the stuffed cicken or chicken with mushrooms and fried onions was one of my very favorites, try the cocktails as they are really good too especially as they dont hav measures over there.. Any hooo i have got th picture over now, I'm sure you are able to make up your own mind.

we are just back from the kapetanios apts, and we have had the best of holidays!!!
My family always stay in these apartments. The family that owns them are very, very good people. The rooms are lovely and the surrounding area is beautifull on an evening. The pool is very clean and no you dont have to pay for sunbeds anywhere in san steph apart from the beach. This is a lovely place to bring your family,we have had many happy times here. The atmosphere is very relaxed.I have stayed here in may and in october before and the weather has always been better then i expected(very good tanning). The bar staff are lovely but Nickos is definatly the best. You will love it.Everyone i have met always wants to go back.
Fantastic resort - highly recommended for all ages. The road to the apartments is not as bad as we thought and only takes ten minutes from town. Spiros is the friendly barman and will always stop for chat! Pool is always clean and the cleaner is in every day.
Just got back from Ag. Stefanos friday 16th June 2006 and just wanted to say"What a holiday!!!" My daughter and I both had lumps in our throats the size of Corfu when we left!! Nikos and Spiros where the most gracious of hosts and made you fee like you lived there permenantly rather than temporarily. The other guests where friendly, the food was good and the pool was clean! What more could anyone ask? Keep up the good work and i'll see you guys next year!
I have just been to kapetanios apartments for 2 weeks and didnt want to leave. As soon as i was on the coach to go home i cried my eyes out!!! lol I will miss the friendlyness of everyone including theo, nikos and dimitri (all winners). The bar was brilliant, so were our homes for the two weeks. If you're going anywhere this summer make sure its here, coz you'll love every minute.

Stayed At Kapetanios 2nd week of May 2005. If you want my view of Resort, Accomodation, Transfers, Life, The Universe and Everything, I'm afraind I posted it on the Can You Help Page for Ag Stefanos on the bottom of the previous page. DOH !
We had 2 weeks at the Kapetanios and had a fantastic time. The apartments and pool are very clean, and the pool bar serves food all day right through from English breakfast to snacks and proper taverna food in the afternoon and evening. (Try their kleftiko, it is excellent!) As with any holiday though, it is the people who make the real difference and the guys at Kapetanios are brilliant - Dimitris and Nikos behind the bar are really good fun, friendly and a laugh. We came away feeling that we had made two excellent new friends. The maid and other staff were also friendly and welcoming.
San Stef is a nice resort, laid back but with plenty of choice for supermarkets and restaurants. Top tips from us for eating include the Olive Press (well worth the walk), and the Tex Mex if you fancy non-Greek food. The Barras is OK and by far the cheapest taverna we found. The paper shop does cash back (at 6% mind) if you get strapped for cash, as there are no cash machines in the resort, or you can get the bus for 90 cents into Sidari where there are several. They can cash travellers cheques at the Kapetanios which is really convenient.
Car hire is cheap - we used Nova Car, they were half the price of Avis!
I see there have been a few queries regarding late check out. We had night flights too and had to be out of our room at 12 noon when we were not getting picked up until the next morning at 2.15AM! You can ask the rep for an extension until 7pm for EUR20 if the room is available. We did not have this option but the guys at Kapetanios will find you a spare room where you can take a shower and change in the evening, so it's not too bad.
Things to watch are the mozzies - out in force this year - and the hill up to the Kapetanios which you get used to after a while.
i too have a early flight at 05.55am, does that mean i will be with no hotel room from twelve the previous day, is there a late leave room avaliable?
has the kapetanios apartments in aghios stefanos corfu have a web site?
has any one got any pictures of what the place looks like other then the pool.

We have just come back from staying at the Kapetanios ..........its our second time .....we used the facilities of the Kapetanios but actually stayed in the Stathis apartments which overlooks the pool. The two greek barmen Nik and Dimitri were so welcoming, funny, great to be with and they know how to look after you. Children are always welcome. The pool table is a bit dodgy with a bit of a roll on it. The surrounding facilities are all down hill...... its ok going down but take your time coming back up. Its all worth it as the view is spectacular.................and with the weather is just the best this is a great spot to have a quiet relaxing time but if you want to let your hair down there is plenty of bars tavernas..two stars is pretty cheap.....the Condor has disco, movies during the day, sky tv and food is excellent......but we all enjoyed the food where ever we were. For Greek dancing at its best the Prince offered a waiter who can lift two flaming tables with his teeth!!.........Sidari is a 12 euro ride away for those who are more into partying all night........its busy and has masses of shops and a MacDonalds......and most importantly has the chemist......watch out for those mosquitos and has three or four bank machines.
We are booking to return next year so that tells you what we think
Cheers
David C
I have booked to go to the Kapetanios Apartments and fond I have to check out at 12 noon when my flight is not till 6.00 am the following morning. I have tried to contact the apartments to ask for a late check out but cannot seem to contact anyone. The tour operator was no help. Has anyone stayed there and be able to stay later in their apartment.
