Just got back from Olive Grove this evening and can only agree with the previous good comments.  Katerina had asked me to spread the word to people who have booked or are planning to book for October that the bar and restaurant will definitely be open.  Apparently some people have had letters from their tour operator saying that it will be closed, Katerina says "This is a BIG LIE darlings", so go ahead, book and have a fantastic time - and don't yawn for goodness sake!! 

We enjoyed our holiday (came home on 1st August) but that was down to our excellent accomodation (Olive Grove), small beach near the apartments, reasonably priced good food, the weather and the wonderful Greek people.  Sidari itself was a great disappointment, this being our 6th time in Greece so we have plenty to compare it with.  Sidari doesn't even smell like Greece as we know it.  Dumpsters at the roadsides not emptied frequently enough so bags of rubbish accumulate at the side causing litter and smells, lots of litter on the streets, ditches full of stagnant green smelly water at the roadside, main beach water full of rubbish, not the crystal clear waters we have become used to  We had never before seen grafiti in Greece.  The last island we visited was Kos which I must say is a credit to the country, so come on whoever is responsible for this town, it needs some TLC. I would like to return to Corfu but will give Sidari a miss.
