Aphrodite Hotel - (Accommodation in Roda)

Ian M

We have just returned from 14 nights at the Afrodite Hotel. 13th September - 27th 2004.
The hotel is a small family run hotel, which is clean and very tidy.
The staff are all very friendly and will help you on any matter.
Our room faced the main road, and was clean and of good size.
Towels were changed every 4th day which was disappointing.
The only problem we had with the room was the noise from those motorbikes, and it would appear the local lads do not care about how much noise they make. We do understand that this is not a problem of the hotels, but something should be done.
We had three evening meals at the hotel which were excellent.
Breakfast which was included was o.k., but at times we fancied a change and had the good old cooked breakfast.
A graet location for those with rooms at the front of the hotel.
The town of Roda is commercial with shops which sell all the usual copies of everything.
A good choice for food, with one or two exceptions which we just walked past.
Plenty of bars, of which nearly every night and at daytimes was showing football. We were on holiday and ignored all the football. You go away to get away from all of that.
The beach at the front of the hotel was good and the youg lady who supplied our sun beds etc was very helpful and polite.
The Pool at the hotel was good and the staff at the pool bar very helpful, polite and will always have a chat.
The only problem with the pool bar was the very occassional smell from a sewer, but this did not spoil our days by the pool.
A good hotel booked with Thomas Cook.
No problems with the rep.
Just those damn bikes.
Would go again, but only if we have room at front of hotel.
Well done afrodite and thanks.
