Ross - Illusions just won't be the same without you. It was great to be recognised by you last year (Sept) whilst we were eating our first meal in wonderful Kassiopi. We've had some great nights at Illusions and a bottle of champagne or 3 for winning the karaoke. We will miss our seats at the end of the bar this year as we are going to another resort but we might pop in to say hello - I hope Jimmy and Panos are still there. Thanks for all the fun - Sandra and Gary (who hasn't sang 'Easy' since you both sang it last year).
We still talk about the Elvis impersonator that did a 'gig' at Eclipse last year. Sean - remember the song he did by the Mavericks (oh yes, oh no !!), Gary and I still laugh about it. We are going to a different resort this year as we are bringing 4 kids with us but hopefully we will get the opportunity to drop in and have some more giggles. Look forward to seeing the revamped bar. Will Spiros be smiling this year????
Further to my previous comment we are now back and I have to say it was fine. The apartments were clean, air-conditioned and quite a good size even with 6 of us. The pool was lovely as was the pool bar and the staff always friendly and polite. The private beach wasn't up to much as it was full of reeds but apparently the beach belonging to the neighbouring hotel is nice.
The town itself has some lovely restaurants especially Fillipas. As for pubs, Irish Knights was a good laugh as was Melodies. It was very busy all night long and dodging the cars/mopeds all the time was a pain but you got used to it. Great atmosphere when Greece won the Championship.
Overall good for the kids but we still prefer Kassiopi.
