Just boked for yiannis village after reading all the great comments on here. anyone got any pics of the appartments or complex as none in the brouchure (only the pool)

Just returned from a two wek stay 3 aduklts and 3 children 11, 9 and 5. Kids loved it. Tom is a star and really tries to make everyone feel welcome. Kevin is brill too, a real host and entertainer. Yianis in the shop can be off with the kids. Be carefull not to rely on the shop as all the prices are at least 50% higher than just up the road. Maids are fantastic, best weve ever had, though the appartments are very very basic (we had 2 beds in the kitchen...not good). The walk is a hike with young ones. Overall a good place, great weather and very freindly folk. The sort of place you can say , done that, was ok, but wouldnt rush to go back with so many other places. I understand cosmos have got it from JMC next year so maybe things will get better in terms of cost.

In reply to all those asking if you can book direct. I was told JMC have secured all appartments for the whole season, and cosmos have done the same for next year. they do this so that they can hold the island to ransom, "give us all the appartments for next to nothing, or we dont bring in the tourists" I was told, the emerging bulagarian and croation resorts are giving appartments for nothing to the tour operators. This is why visitors to corfu are 30% down this year as the big operators want you to go to croatia, bulgaria, etc. very sad...

just a quick note to say that Graham, the rep at yiannis village is excellent. Helps everyone, no problem is too small for him to give his full attention, was always organising football for kids and adults alike, a really friendly guy, top marks.
