We have just returned from two weeks in Corfu, staying in Sidari and had a really good time. Sidari itself was perhaps slightly "Brits Abroad"/"Chips & Egg" for us, but it was a good base from which to explore a lot of the Island. Tereza's was a very comfortable base and very clean. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. I would reccomend it as somewhere to stay if you want to go to Sidari as your slightly away from it all, but close enough to walk into when you fancy a nice meal and drinks etc. The only negatives would be that it can be fairly noisy, the hotel bar and the hotel opposite have no problem with putting their music and televisions at full volume all day and night it seemed. Also, the cooking can be difficult in the rooms as the cooker took about an hour to heat up a pan of water. Apart from that, I would highly recommend it as a good base for a lovely holiday.
Just come back from two weeks in Sidari (staying at Tereza's Pool Apartments)and had a really lovely holiday. Sidari was perhaps slightly too "Brits Abroad" for us, but was a good base to explore the island and other beaches in the day and then go and have a nice meal and a few drinks in Sidari in the evening. Restaurants are all pretty good (Seabreeze and Three Little Pigs are very good)and there are enough bars to go to most evenings (Mojo Music Bar, good music & very attractive barman!). The main beach didn't appeal that much, but the smaller one near Canal D'Amour is quite nice, especially as you can sit on rocks in the middle of the sea. I would recommend getting a car and going to explore slightly more traditional places, such as Paleokastritsa (with amazing beaches and coves, very good for snorkelling) and Kassiopi, which also has really pretty, small beaches, and lots of nice restaurants. Overall, good holiday though and depending what you're after, Sidari is a good base for anyone.
Very large beach, and one of the few nice sandy ones we found on the island. lovely shallow water for a long way out aswell.
We loved it here, the beaches were like paradise. Lovely clear water, which is excellent for snorkelling and set in beautiful surroundings!!!
I thought that the beaches in Kassiopi were lovely. They're stoney, but the water is so clear and blue and you can avoid the hassle of sand over everything. Very pretty place.
