I went at the start of the season in the first week in May with Mandy, a friend of mine. First it was a bit of a culture shock, quite sparce and secluded....the drive from the airport is an absolute nightmare - DON'T GET A NIGHT FLIGHT - is my advice!!!

The appts are not that clean, but very liveable. Pool is okay but there are much better ones opposite in the appts that you are free to use. The staff at the Maria are extremely friendly, very heplful. Loads of places to eat out that are great, especially the two brothers.....beautiful scenary, Sidari town has lots of great bars, the people are the friendliest I've ever met...can't do enough for you. We would definately go back - takes a couple of days to adjust but we loved it and would definately go back. Also, Nikos who works in the bike shop is a sound lad, went out for a few drinks with him.....anyone going to The Maria...say hi to him from Gary & Mandy

The nightlife is about 10mins walk away from the appts, there are 2 nightclubs and ots of bars. Not brilliant but a very good nightlife. It was our first time to Corfu too, but it really is lovely....hope you have a great time

This bar was superb....great atmosphere, free shots, a good laugh....Vasilios (or William) as he likes to be called is a great fella....we had a fab laugh with him, shame he likes women!!!!!.......if you go, tell him Gary & Rebecca say Hi

This was a good bar, very relaxed and nicely set out. The staff were very friendly, except George (we think he's gay...got very touchy when we mentioned it)......he was a tit and totally up his own backside, a real slimeball. Nice place though, would go back again

We went to Sidari at the beginning of May.....the first time we had been with Thomson as well as the first time to Corfu, and the last if I have anything to do with it!!! The flight was okay, waited about an hour at Corfu airport before our bags started coming through. The rep was unclear on the dreadful journey to our hotel (The Maria), then she just dumped us at reception, got our key and said 'there's your room'....she wasn't seen again until the journey home. We had to be out of our room by 12 noon, and were not getting picked up until 3.30am the following morning, 15 hours later, for our flight back home, no allowance was made for us to gain entry to another room to freshen up. We got to the airport at least an hour before the check in even opened, so had to hang around, that was after the rep had informed us that the airport was that small we may not all be able to wait in check in!!! Very bad service, a total lack of customer care
