We have been to Sidari 9 or 10 times and stayed in a variety of accomodation, we would highly recommend the Stema 2 Studios in Sidari (we've been 4 times)and i'm a travel agent! Great location, nice pool, use of the Stema 1's facilities and one of a few in Sidari with Air Con, great hosts, great place. I'm going back again on May 16th (Alas they are now full for that week but mail me if you need a cheap deal any other time! ;) )
In reply to Adrian Hills request for info on the Sidari Village, we were there some 4 years ago and it was ok, nothing to write home about, Airtours (as always) have overrated the accomodation, it should be no more than a AAA rating, on a plus the resort itself is fabulous, the beach great, the locals even better. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the buffet style food was decidedly bland and 'warm' rather than hot. Great for kids though with plenty to do and the water park nearby (Don't book any excursions at the welcome meeting ; you will save plenty of hard earned Euros by booking them in the resort centre.)
The Stema complex consists of 2 block of apartments, which are different from one another, the Stema I complex (as featured in Thomsons Just Greece brochure is the more basic, yet still clean, with its own pool. The Stema II are more recent and luxurious with a brand new pool which was getting built last year so should be ready for this season. I was fortunate enough to try out this accomodation last year on an Educational trip as I work for TUI (Thomsons) and was so impressed I have booked it for a week in May for my wife and I. The only criticism I had was the lack of lighting when returning to the complex after a night of alcohol fuelled antics! That said it is a mere 5 minutes from the resort centre (15 if really drunk.) There's a small beach a 2 minute stroll away with Sidari's main beach about 5 minutes farther down the road. Overall A great resort and a great complex.
