We are staying here in June - good to read Helen's comments. Have convinced myself that the walk to and from town will be good exercise if I sit around and eat and drink for the rest of the time. Probably won't notice or care about the walk home after a night at Illusions!
Stayed here in 2001 - very close (30 seconds) to the Sunny pool which was nice. We could occasionally hear music from the main street but does not go on much past midnight (and we were usually in amongst it so didn't really bother us). Accommodation basic (as most s/c studios) but was clean. The balcony looked directly onto a wall and up onto a path (not busy though). Apartment next door had a wall directly in front of the balcony - no sun on either balcony which was good if you wanted to escape the heat. Overall Kassiopi is fabulous and we are going again this year.
Fantastic - stuffed peppers and stifado are THE BEST
Last visited Janis on our hols in 2001. We are still talking about the seafood starter. Watching the sun go down whilst eating the fab food is the best experience - we made a memory that night. Maybe more expensive that some of the other restaurants but even if you go once - GO! Waiters were great - especially when they also work at Illusions and serve you great cocktails later on in the evening!!
We stumbled across Kassiopi in 2000 when we were driving around the island. We completely fell in love with the place - bought a great ornament from the lovely ceramic shop in the centre and vowed to go back the following year. We did go back and are going back again this year. Didn't go last year as we thought we'd try Zante - never again - Kassiopi is our island and we have made some fantastic memories there. Can't disagree with any of the previous comments - fantastic place, fantastic people (Rachel and Spiros at Eclipse and DJ Ross at the great barmen at Illusions our particular favourites) and the food is fab. Looking forward to many more years visiting our favourite place. SEE YOU SOON KASSIOPI
