We have been visiting Agios Gordios for the last 5 years and have tried several restaurants and tavernas arround the island as well as Agios Gordios, what makes Sebastians different to the rest is the whole feel about the place, the food is outstanding, the atmosphere is great as Sebastian and his wife Teresa treat you as if you were almost part of their family but the most amazing thing (other than food) is the vine, the actuall GRAPES are hanging above the customers almost as if they were fake!! Sebastian makes his delicious white wine from them and for the last 2 years i have also helped him do the harvest.
: Visited Oct 2006. Left this taverna until last night as it was more expensive than most. Thought menu quite extensive. Served different starter to order, told ran out of whitebait, was not consulted. Brought chips with main course when asked for 'Greek Potatoes' (sauted potatoes in herbs) told ran out of GP, not consulted. When complained, I was ranted at by the owner and made to feel that it was my fault they had ran out of the said menu items, and he was doing me a favour. I remained calm while this fool kept ranting on about his restaurant was not McDonalds and I should not expect to be served what I asked for. His wife (who was English) was very accommodating was left to apologise.
Lovely taverna, great food, friendly service...a bit pricey compared to others in the resort, but the food is great and well presented.
If there is one place to have a delicious meal that is definitely Sebastians Taverna, we had a wonderful time last year as we had our dinner every night under their spectacular grape vine, Seb and Tee are so nice and friendly and made us feel like home from home, their service is fantastic and the entertainment brilliant (bouzouki player is concert material) ....definitely a highlight in our holiday!
We had looked at the menu several times outside before deciding to eat here. It was one of the more expensive resturants in the resort but there was an interesting choice of food.
We were slightly disappointed as although we had heard good things, we had to wait a long time for our main course and when it came it was luke warm and quite ordinary (Chicken Casserole).
Would not rush back here.
we usually have a meal here every other night. It's soooooo good, the owners and the staff is great and they have delicious food. Even a wide range of vegetarian food is available.
