| Enjoyed our stay here, the hosts were friendly and couldnt do enough for us and the pool is lovely in an excellent setting. Rooms are simple and adequate in the Greek fashion, but comfortable and clean which is all you really need .Outside the flowers and landscaping is pleasant and restful with all the scents that I enjoy when I come to Corfu to relax. Food from their own cafe is excellent and the view from the upper rooms is wonderful. The dreaded hill which we read about.....well it is steep so its not a good spot for walking difficulties, although I did notice Fotini driving some guests up and down. However it didnt make a major impact on my holiday partly because I enjoyed the walk ( try walking the path up to Lakones, wonderful, and just starts below the Complex) and partly because we hired a car for the fortnight in a very cheap package through Olympic) ![]() I would happily stay here again. PS maybe next time I will come on my Harley ....eh Fotini | |

We have just returned from our 4th 2 week holiday at the Fotini complex and annexes. As usual the hill up to the apartments is a necessary evil to achieve the wonderful views of the bay. This problem is easily solved by hiring a scooter or car from the friendly and reasonably priced George Michaelas Hire Shop at the bottom of the hill. The Moody Blue Bar at the bottom of the hill was offering a free taxi service to the top of the hill after late night drinks at the bar. Fotini and her sister Corrina, with her parents and her granny were once again on duty some 18 hours per day giving excellent service. Bar facilities are great with drinks, breakfasts & meals available at all times. Room facilities are basic but comfortable with electricity included. Extra electrical needs ie fans/air con are charged as extras which we considered to be entirely reasonable. The pool was kept spotless as usual with granny cleaning it most days in a stance which could only be described as gymnastically challenging. The current luggage arrangments are that the bags are stored within sight of the bar from The Moody Blue bar is open all of this time for drinks etc and the luggage is well looked after. In conclusion, staying in Paleokastritsa is probably the best decision to make if you want to stay on Staying in the Fotini complex is a wise decision if you are staying in Paleokastritsa

hi, we went back again this year june/july and took my son & his girlfriend too and it was even better than before. the bbq cum greek night was just brill, fotini and her sister were fantastic dancers. Grans cooking is a delight. hill does not get any easier but the beer is still refreshing. Fotini's quiz nights are a good laugh especially as she tries hard to get the words right. overall a good holiday and hope to be back soon. if any bodys there shortly give them my regards.

Loved it. Just spent 2 weeks there, and Paleo was the perfect location for what we wanted - quiet, but with a few bars and some lovely restaurants.
The Fotinoula (one of the add-ons to the actual complex) is run by a lovely lady. She always keeps the apartments clean. These are basic apartments, but if you book a package tour like this, then they are exactly what you should expect. If you want luxury, you need a hotel!!!
The pool & bar for the complex is lovely - friendly, clean and good fun in the evening when they hold a themed night - nothing tacky thankfully, but just a good way to meet some of the other folks living around you.
The walk to from the main road IS steep, especially after a 3 couse meal and some wine, but again, the Olympic brochure states this very clearly.
The worst thing was that they take your bags at midday, and they sit around unguarded for a few hours (for our late transfer, that would have been untl midnight!). We hired the room for 30 euros extra, which meant a nice easy day, and a hot shower at the end of it. Expensive, but worth it, as a few others who stayed there agreed.
I heard reports about the owner (Spiros) losing his temper at someone, but to be honest, for him to do that you must have to show a serious disrespect - he's a lovely fellow!
I would recommend Paleo & Fotinoula to anyone who can manage a walk up a big hill!
From some of the comments already written, I would say that Mrs Packman was the lady who wanted moving from the Annex to the Complex proper, and caused such a fuss that she caused her own miserable-ness for her holiday. Well done ![]()

What an amazing place!!!! fotini, corina, spiros thank you for making our stay a memorable one. i would recommend this beautiful place to anyone, fantastic. But if you decide to book any excursions dont book throught the rep, just ask spiros and you can get it for at least 10euro cheaper. Moody blues and mistral are the bars to go to for a good night out being the only bars there they are brilliant. see you next year. oh and the welcome speach is awesome especially if jenny still does it.

The studios not the annexes, the owners were unfriendly and wanted to charge us more for air-conditioning than the other apartments. They used the ground outside our balcony for a staff car park and cleaned their cars there any time day or night. They let themselves in our apartment screming and shouting when we highed a fan from the tourist office told us it was Corfu law that we were not allowed to high electrical applinces out side themselves. Worst holiday we have had in years. That hill alone could ruin your holiday, it is very steep and a killer never again.

| Went here in august 2003 and it was brilliant! loved the bar - it has great food! they even serve late at night and pool that the appartments look out over, fotini and her family are very friendly, she even gave me a ride on her motorbike all along the coast!, there is a steep walk down to the beach which gets very hot so my advice would be to walk down early before it gets too hot, although me and my family stayed by the pool most days because we loved it so much, A great holiday ...not to be missed! I shall certainly be going back =), also the BBQ and greek dancing that fotini and her family do is really good! | ||||||||||
