Dionyssos Pension - (Accommodation in Sidari)

We have just got back last Saturday morning and have had a lovely holiday. The rooms were very basic but clean and also had air conditioning at no charge. The FULL English breakfasts were the best we have ever had (even in England) and were served by two lovely young waiters who were so well mannered and would do anything for you. We used to sit on an open decking overlooking the sea, which is a restaurant - it was beautiful. You will love it!!!!

We have just got back after 2 weeks in Sidari staying in the Dyonnisis apts. They were really nice. When we first arrived in the early hours we were horrified. The rooms were very basic and when we got on the balcony to see what what was going on - it looked dead. We were only on the balcony for 5 mins and my hubby was bitten twice by mosquitoes - lucky for him we took some anithistamine tablets with us to stop the itching - so make sure you take some with you. We have never seen so many people with such huge bites - they were awful. The beaches were filthy and stank as raw sewage ran onto the beach. We wouldn't dream of paddling in the water or lying on the beach - it would be a real health hazard. Over the next couple of days when the sun was shining the beach didnt look so bad but it still smelt. We walked along the beach and found the Canal D'Amour Village resort and it was beautiful. We went there every day and it had a lovely pool area and lovely green grass and the staff were really nice. We ended up having a great holiday and the only thing which spoilt it for me was the poor stray dogs walking around -  bless them. They were lovely and friendly and just wanted to be loved and I used to break my heart after having a few drinks knowing I couldn't do anything to help them. They always got a bit of my burger. I also felt sorry for the poor old donkey that had to stand all day in the hot sun -  poor thing. Anyway have a great time when you get there as I am sure you will. The weather was red hot when we left as well 38 degrees and when we went to the Canal D'Amour we sat above the cliffs and the breeze used to cool us down. It was lovely!!!!!!
