If you like fish then this is the PLAICE to go. It is right on the beach between Roda and Acharavi and you could easily miss it as it is only small. You get invited into the kitchen to pick your fish, so you can see how clean it is at the same time. We were a party of four and two people didn't like fish but there were still dishes for them to pick from. Not a very big menu but quality food. Being only small it always seemed busy but that meant the service was more personal. We had sea bass, which was cooked to perfection, accompanied by the tastiest rice in Roda. Chips were not on the menu but they will cook you some if you ask.
This is a good place to enjoy a long leisurly lunch with a bottle of wine and watch the world go by. Overlooking the beach so always something to look at. We went there 5/7 lunchtimes and two evenings. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. Probably good to watch the sunset but we ate late most days.
This restaurant was busy every night so we thought we wuold give it a try. After 15 minutes we knew why it seemed so busy, it was because nobody had asked us what we wanted to drink or even given us a menu. The service remained slow throughout our meal. It was actually a good tactic as people walking past seen how full it was and presumed it must be popular, if they had given better service though, they could double their takings. The food was alright but nothing special although the whole dining experience was poor due to the poor service. We had to walk past this restaurant every night from our apartment and we always saw somebody trying to attract the staff as if they had been there a long time without any service.
