Message for Claire Morton, Thanks very much for the info, it puts my mind at ease knowing they are looking into it. Thanks once again.
We are staying at the paradise apts this month in sidari. Can anyone tell me if there is a local bank and if so is it reliable to get money from and if it has a cashpoint available and what cards re accepted.
Me, my husband and two children have just got back from Sidari. We stayed at the Hotel Paradise Apartments, which I was a little concerned as like eveyone else we had only seen an artists impression in the brouchure. When we arrived we was absolutly delighted with them, they are very clean, spacious and well equipt, they said the maid service was every other day but we had our bins emptied and beds made everyday. The pool is fantastic with two shallow ends for kids, you can also use the sister pool next door which is just as nice. The reps were fantastic with the kids and although we never prepaid in britain to use the kids club they made my son very welcome mostly without charge. The hotel staff are lovely.... but beware for the waiter who pushes you in the pool!!!. There was three evenings of entertainment per week in the hotel bar, bingo, karaoke and quiz night, the prizes are worth entering for. It is not far at all from the main street in Sidari where you will find everything you need and cheap, there are loads of places to eat and drink, we took a list with us but ended up eating at the paradise restaraunt where you get 10% discount of your food and drinks, the food was lovely and the service fantastic. If you like some entertainment whilst eating try Bolero or the Three little pigs you can't miss them. There is a Macdonalds very close to Paradise and it is actually cheaper to eat there then the restaraunts, although for four of us we spent about £20 per night on food and drinks. I would highly recommend some of the trips on offer and despite what people said we did book through our hotel rep and had two fantastic days, one to Aqualand which is a must for all ages and the beach bbq cruise. If you have a small child you can hire buggys in sidari for around 15 euros per week. The one and only problem we found was the heat at night in our apartment we did hire a fan from hotel reception which cost us 30 euro for 14 days, but it was as much use as a chocolate fire guard, so we would just recommend wet towels on a night, don't sleep with the doors open on a night as the mozzies will bite you. In all a very enjoyable holiday and we will go back when they have aircon in the rooms which they are getting this winter. I do have pictures of the hotel and pool if anyone wants to see them let me know. vaj20@aol.com, or any other questions you may have that I have missed.
My family and I ate here everynight all but once, The food is lovely with a wide variety to choose from, I would recommend anything to do with chicken as it's lovely, also the paradise mixed grill special has to be tryed, and don't forget the greek salad despite another comment. If you have kids there is a good menu choice for them. The service of the staff is fantastic they work extremley hard and long hours, but you will never hear them complain they are so friendly and go out of their way to please you, the only reason you would have to ask for the bill a few times is because they don't rush you out when you have finished your meal. The prices are very reasonable, we loved it.
