Hi, I'm going to Roda in August with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We are going to stay at the Roda Inn, does anybody know what it's like. Is there much to do and see in Roda, or surround ing areas? Thanks Sam
We have just come back from our first holiday in Roda, it was fantastic. We had breakfast every morning in the Roda Park and ate most evenings there aswell. Costa and his wife Voula were brilliant hosts. Very friendly and a good laugh. They have a wide range on the menu from english, italian and traditional greek dishes. There chicken Salads are great. My husband absoultely loved the garlic mushroom starter and Mousaka main course, so much he had it on at least 3 occasions. Our 4 year old daughter was also well catered for as you can imagine at that age they can be very fussy eaters. Costa and Voula were very accomodating to our every need. On one evening we were evening given a bottle of Champagne. I can't wait to go back and make some more fantastic memories.
We have just come back from our first holiday in Roda and plan to go back there next year as we loved it. We stayed in the Roda Inn on the beachfront. I wouldn't stay there again though. Lovely view and Helen and Kay the owners were lovely, but the noise from the Mopeds all night was not so lovely. The sound of the waves hitting the beach made up for the mopeds most of the time. Roxannes bar 2 doors away from the Roda Inn is run by a very nice man call Vasilis. Go there for a drink he plays some good music too. Big bens is another friendly place to go for a drink, which is run by Yianni and his wife Oula, drinks are reasonably priced. If you are loking for somewhere excellent to eat then I recommend the Roda Park for excellent greek hospitality. Costa and his wife Voula were wonderful hosts. I also recommend eating in Maggies at least once, you get absoultely huge servings good value for money and Maggie was really nice. the Metallinos pool and snack bar is run by a really nice man called Adonis. It's up past the crossroads but well worth the walk. Everybody was really friendly and they absolutely love children. We've only been back 3 days and missing Roda and all the lovely people in it. Can't wait to go back next year.
