Me and my boyfriend (19 and 21) were looking for ages for the perfect holiday to go on together this summer (2007) After reading reviews about Villa Sofia Ipsos, we thought it looked great. We have just got back and I can assure you; it was excellent! As there are only 6 apartments there is no shortage of sunbeds and the pool is quiet, relaxing and just the perfect size. Sofia and her son Costas are such lovely people and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your stay, A good idea would be to get some form of transport, for 3 of the days, we hired a moped (just 10 euros a day) and travelled up the coast to Kassiopi via Barbati and Ag. Stefanos. Also Dassia is just down the road and there are alot more restaurants down there than on the strip; great restaurants in Ipsos I would recommend are Moby Dick, Bonitas and the Peking Restaurant (great chinese food in an amazing building with a great view of the sea!) We also made good friends with people in other apartments and there was a BBQ on our last night. The excursions are brilliant, but believe me; do not book these with kosmar as you can get much cheaper ones just on the strip at the excursion shops. The boat BBQ is ace! Although Ipsos is stated as a place for the young and lively by Kosmar, I would say it is perfect for any age; the bars and clubs are there if you want, many restaurants and more towns at your fingertips with more restaurants and entertainment! Also the scenery is fantastic! I really would reccommend Villa Sofia to anyone looking to have an enjoyable and fantastic holiday! The best apartments and hosts in Ipsos. Thank you Sofia and Kostas for another fantastic holiday. Thanks for allowing us do the It's a Knock Out...what a laugh! I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks in August 2005. I found the appartments to be clean although basic. Sofia , Kostas and Crazy george the dancing loony were all very friendly and helpful and knocked up a canny ciabata. I would reccomend having the BBQ as this was atop night. The only real let down was that it is not situated near a train station where I could persue my love of train spotting especially greek engines pre 1990. | ||||||||||

 the family and i when to corfu for the first time with other family members and had a great time. we staid for two weeks in july, the deep blue snack bar/pool was great fun and very helpful hostes kostas, gorge and sofia. we look forward to going back some time soon. | ||||||||||

I have just found this website and it's great!!, We had our honeymoon at Villa Sofia ( not your typical honeymoon holiday) We had a great time the apartment was basic but comfortable. The pool, bar and rooms were clean. Kostas was brilliant, the nicest guy i have ever met so friendly, advised us on the best places to visit. makes a great cocktail and even let me change the TV channel. Great fish burgers as well It was in a fairly quiet location 10Min walk to beach / bars theres a really nice resturant called "Bonita" we went there most nights.
The only let down and that is proberly because im too old for my age is that the pool/bar is very popular with the younger brits that work out there and they could be a bit rowdy.

| I've just had a holiday with mum and dad - I had room to myself, and even though there was no one my own age staying here, the Greek children of the family who owned it sometimes came. Two years ago when we stayed here I made friends with a few people. I also made friends both times with the people who work in the pubs nearby - they were really nice especially Brian this time and Mary-Lou last time, and Keith both times. It's funny when the younger ones are having fun, but not when your mum and dad join in!! I bought some great CDs while I was here at the pool and have seen films before they come out in England. | ||||||||||

| Another fantastic week at Villa Sofia - thanks Kostas & Sofia. The one bed apartment really has two twin beds - no reorganinsing of furniture. the others were very happy with the studios as well. The AC is excellent - the telephone charges were extremely reasonable. I have rated the quiteness as excellent because compared to even the Zues next door it is one of the quietest spots in town. We met some wonderful people again - local workers and holiday makers - thanks to Ang, Gary, Richard, Doug, the Newcastle couples, and special hello to Rachel & Chris. The kids ( yes Keith you are still a big one) who work the local bars were a pleasure to meet again - sorry I don't remember all your names but a special hello to Brian. Note : Please don't go to Ipsos if you want a quiet, undisturbed holiday. There are other resorts on the beautiful island of Corfu which would be more suitable. But, if you can stand a couple of splashes from a pool, good humoured fun and love to see others enjoying themselves - without losing your cool , then this is the place for you. | ||||||||||

| just got back from 2 really fab weeks at the villa sofia. it was in a really quiet part of town.....about 5 minutes walk away from the main bars on the seafront. kostas and his mum, sofia made us feel really welcome.....we felt like it was our home for 2 weeks. i will post some pictures on my own website when i get a few minutes. http://www.zyworld.com/angiecoope we will definitely go back. love & hugs to everyone we met there. | ||||||||||

| kostas and sophia were 1st class in all our two week holiday i would like to personally thank kostas for a fantastic holliday and yes we will go back to see some time had a great time and we are now back home in yorkshire after a great family wedding in greece to yes you have guessed to heavy rain thanks kostas for a great holiday wish we were still with you from the wedding party | ||||||||||
