Just come back from a week at Dassia Chandris Hotel (August 2007)

The hotel was superb and a fantastic surprise. To walk down a few steps and be on Dassia beach was amazing. (the photo is taken from the balcony of the restaurant).
The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the food service staff.
The food was fab and plenty of choice.
The rooms were comfy and clean and a maid made your bed everyday.
The pool was lovely and much nicer than the Corfu Chandris Hotel's.
We watched 2 films in the open air cinema.
We are not the type to enjoy organised entertainment, but we actually ended up at the pool entertainment most nights, one night was Greek dancing, another was a singer, a magican and 3 girl dancers who danced jazz, modern and Spanish. Although we didn't stay for long, we still watched a little.

Tips for your stay:
Our room looked over a busy road, but with the balcony windows shut, you could block out most of the noise, and if you had the air con on was no background noise. If you can afford it, ask for a pool or beach view, much nicer. We asked to be transferred but it was explained to us that their was a supplement attached to those rooms.

The road outside is very busy - we nicknamed it Death Road, but it wasn't that bad.

The courtesy bus taking you into Corfu Town only takes 22 people and you can't pre-book. We all queued politely in the carpark near the road. The bus came, some people walked straight from the hotel onto the bus without queuing, therefore the first in the queue didn't get on. So, hang around on the drive to get a place.

The drinks in the hotel are VERY expensive.
A glass of wine is 3 euros, across the road in any taverna it ranged from 1.50 - 1.95 euros.
A bottle of still water from the poolside was 2.20 euros, in the supermarket 50 yards away it was 35 cents.
Cocktails in the hotel are 7.20 euros. Their is a cocktail bar across the road that charges 3.50 euros.

If you want to go on a boat trip, their is a place on the beach that hosts them, we paid 20 euros each and 10 euros for our son directly with them on the morning we went. The reps are charging 35-39 euros. it is the same trip!!!

On a whole I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel and this resort. Their is plenty to do in a week, although 2 weeks you would probably do more trips.

It is October 6, 2003, and I am actually at this hotel (by the way with free internet!). I am totally satisfied with the services provided here, also the cleanliness is spotless and the staff is very friendly and helpful. All rooms have a balcony, the major part of therooms have a view to the ocean. I just step out of my balcony, walk fifty meters and there I am - at the beach. The beach itself has some gravel and mzybe three meters into the water, but then it's a pure sand ground without mud or algae, just fantastic!

I can recommend this hotel 100%! I if I should come back to Kerkyra, as Corfu is called in Greek, I definitely will stay at this hotel again.

On the same compound is also the Corfu Chandris Hotel, which is the super luxury version of the Dassia Chandris, way too much for me, and the average age of the guests is much higher than at the Dassia Chandris. The advantage is that staying at one of the two hotels, you can participate in the activities of both. Also the animation team does a great job, opposed to what I experienced in hotels in other countries.

If you're coming to Corfu, stay at the Dassia Chandris!!

Stayed here July 2002, it was an excellent Hotel, staff extremely friendly and helpful, the food was wonderful and the restaurant Manager was lovely and made you feel special. Rooms were superb with aircon and very clean. Pool very good but most people went down to the lovely gardens which ran down onto the beach it was beautiful.
Will definately go there again.

I lasted stayed in May 2000. It was superb and very good value for money. Bar prices are rather expensive which promoted people to use local bars rather than hotel Management and staff were most helpfull.I have booked to spend a week here in May 2003. Corfu people are extremely nice.
