Sebastian Apartments

Accommodation in Agios Gordios

We stumbled on Aghios Gordios by chance, having managed to get a last minute cancellation with kosmar while we were in London.  We stayed at the Sebastian  two bed apartment with our 11 year-old son.  It turned out to be the best holiday we have had so far.  So much so that we have booked to go back again this year and are also bringing our friends along.  Aghios Gordios is a lovely place with very friendly people.  The beach and weather are to die for.  We used the pool next door every day as well and it was superb.  Teresa and Sebastian who run the Taverna along with Vanessa were wonderful hosts.. Nothing was to much for them.  The food was out of this world and the surroundings made it an ideal place to enjoy some really good evenings particularly when the local musicians were playing there. The apartment was very clean and provided everything you need to self-cater, even a cleaner who spoke English and was very helpful.  The local shops stocked loads of english things to eat but to be honest it was really cheap to eat out and with so many restuarants and cafes available you could eat in a different place every day and still not have visited all of them.  Couldn't fault the place everything including the wonderful weather was brilliant.  Would definitely recommend Sebastian Apartments to anyone.  If you are looking for the ideal holiday surrounded by ideal people, look no further than Aghios Gordios

We recommend the sebastian apartments to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday. First class accommodation, first class food at very reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff, who are always ready to help you. Great location, just minutes from a great beach. We will certainly return one year in the near future.

My fiance and I have just returned from a week at Sebastian Studios in Ag Gordios and have nothing but priase for Ag Gordios, the accommodation, and the owners, Theresa and Sebastian.

We were lucky enough to get the 2 bedroom family apartment between the 2 of us - which is decorated beautifully and has everything you need (no need for travel kettles or your own bottle openers!) - definitely a home from home.  The beach (sand) is a few minutes straight ahead - but Sebastian guests do have access to a pool in neighbouring accommodation - although we didn't use this facility as preferred the sand, sea and waves! The apartment boasts a lovely balcony with fab sea views - which is situated just above the restaurant.  However, the grapevines mean you can enjoy the live Greek Bouzouki players that play in the restaurant twop evenings a week in total privacy - and the restaurant noise at others times was minimal and never bothered us.

Sebastians Taverna serves a lovely menu with lots of traditional Greek fare - and make sure you try Theresa's cheesecake - its divine!  However, there are lots of other nice restaurants to choose from - we particularly like the atomosphere in The Lemon Tree about 2 minutes down the road on the right.  For trendier souls - there are what seem to be lots of new, stylish tavernas and bars on the seafront - we particulary enjoyed the food at Zeffyros (lovely stonebaked break and pizza's!) - and for those looking for a game of pool - Ark - a couple of doors down - has a table for 2 Euros a game in very pleasant surroundings.

This resort is marketed at couples and families - and this is exactly who it suits.  It doesn't have bundles of nightlife - but it does have a few options for those wanting to carry on till the wee hours.  However, for those looking for a more traditional Greek atmosphere it has lots of cosy taverna's with friendly locals -and I even have to admit the Greek red wine had grown on us by the end of the holiday!

I discovered Sebastian's apartments 3 years ago and have been every year since! I really think that I managed to find the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you're looking for a home from home, friendly, and well run place to stay, then I'm sure that you love it here.

Sebastian's is probably the most traditional place in the whole of Agios Gordis. Set above the one and only road in the village, it is a little complex of (newly modernised) traditional studios and apartments that are next to a fantastic restaurant.

The place is run by a really lovely couple Sebastian and Theresa and their team of really friendly staff, I can't stress how much they treat you like you're part of their family. If you're into gardening, then Sebastian's mum Vanessa will show you all her fruit and vegetable gardens (that they use for the Taverna) - her english is pretty good, so you should have no problem understanding her!

As well as the high quality of the accommodation, Sebastian also has one of the best restaurants in the village. It's traditionally Greek, with a really extensive menu (that includes loads of Grilled and vegetarian food) and they usually have some traditional dancing or live Bouzouki music during our stay. My favourite though is the restaurant itself; outdoors, covered by a fantastic grapevine inter-twined with fairy lights. It's so atmopsheric and romantic! there's no way you could experience this anywhere else apart from Greece.

If you ever manage to get there....I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
