After beeing notified by guests of the hotel marina about the malicious report on our hotel and me (the hotel manager) personally, I feel the need to reply, not to justify myself to the people writing the report, but for all our guests who come and keep coming to our hotel and restaurant for years.
Mr. and Mrs. Peters booked a week in our hotel in august 08 and asked for a quiet room. We specifically pointed out in our emails that with our location and it beeing high season there might be noise.They accepted, booked it, payed a deposit of 70 pounds sterling ( almost the rental of two nights) and came. After staying their first night, (they never complained about the noise), they came and asked back for their passport, saying that they would feel safer if they kept it. trusting people as I am, I gave it back to them.
The next day , they had allready decided to leave (we later found out that they had allready got accommodation somewhere else) and told us by the way that they went because of the noise of the bar. Just to let you all know, that they were they only people out of 32 guests that complained. And I also have to make it clear, that the buiding of the nearby bar belongs to my family, but it's beeing rented and run by someone who has nothing to do with our family.
We kindly explained them that if they wish to leave, according to the greek law, they would have to pay half of the agreed ammount. They refused and not only that, but started to become aggressive and insulting about us greeks beeing greedy. It was not a matter of money, but merely a matter of principal. Thus I blocked their car in our parking area and waited for the police to come, which they called. The police came and asked me kindly to let it go and if I wished I could press charges against them according to the law. The ammount of money was not worth it and seeing that these people had no decency ( they were swearing on top of their voice, disturbing other guests, who witnessed the whole scene and all told me later how embarrased and ashamed they felt about the abuse towards me and my family!) I let them go. They left swearing and threatening, that they would get revenge and they obviously think they did, with their slandering report to this website.
And to proove how malicious this couple was, a day after their first comment, they sent another comment themselves under the name of a supposed guest of ours . but we never had anyone staying with us under that name. And the simplest proove is to check the IP numbers of those two comments. they are identical!!! this means both comments have been sent from the same computer. (you can see the IP adress if you register to send a comment).
Now, to cut a long story short, the facts of the guests returning year after year to our family hotel says it all. If I would treat people like they said I did, or if our restaurant would be as bad as they describe, we would be out of business a long time ago.

I had to reply and let our guests know what really happened.
And for those who don't know me and my family's business, the comments of our satisfied guests proove Mr. and Mrs. Peters wrong.
