There are four of us going to Elenitsa studios in July 2004 and I am a bit concerned about what is written on this website about it. I know some people like to complain about everything so - we are just looking for decent apartments to sleep, shower and occasionally eat breakfast. Will these apartments fit the bill or are they as awful as some people are saying?

we are just back from a wonderful holiday in roda, but i must say that it was no thanks to the tour operators. anyone going to elenitsa studios be aware that it is a lottery whether you will get a room with a balcony or terrace as advertised, or whether you will get the pavement outside your room as your terrace or the top of the stairwell as your balcony, and obviously there is no privacy if you get any of the latter. the room we were allocated was damp, dark and we were expected to go along the corridor, around the corner and sit on the pavement where every one passed and use that as our terrace. the rep, while pleasant, said that she had no alternative for us and she would be quite happy with that room, despite the fact that if we opened the shutters to let daylight in every tom d**k and harry could look in our windows as they passed to their apartments, that is if they were not walking right passed us on our "terrace" only peristent refusal to accept the room and insisting we were not going to unpack and wanted to see a sup**visor resulted in our being re-allocated a room upstairs in the next block instead of others whose flight had been delayed. i later spoke to a number of others who were unhappy with their rooms and had complained. do not get me wrong, we had a fabulous holiday and the apartments are in a great location and the one we ended up with was fine, but our first day was ruined with all the aggravation and i feel that olympic holidays have an absolutely cheek expecting people to pay the same price for these disgusting rooms - if they must use them they should charge less for them and make the people aware of what they are getting. p.s. don't think that personally asking for an upstairs room with a balcony will make any difference because we tried that before we flew to corfu and it made no difference to us. you have been warned
