Roda - (Resorts on Corfu)

OMG!
This year was the first i've ever been to Corfu, but i can tell you i will definately be going back. It was amazing. The apartments we stayed in were pretty bad-but the people made up for this-they are friendly, generous and warm. Especially at the Alexandros Pool/Bar complex. They were really helpful and made our holiday the best ever. So a BIG thank you to all the lovely people in Roda-from "The Four Tramps From Glasgow"

Roda - (Resorts on Corfu)

"Hi All

I'm in an internet cafe, just had to walk 2km+ down the road to Acharavi as the only place in Roda to have it (British Bull Dog Pub) is sh*t and I could not even get on this page.

Okay back to Roda, if you are over 60 and from anywhere past Watford, you'll love it. If you're fat, bald and have loads of shi*tty tatoos you'll fit in well too.

Now food, the only place I can actually say is just about okay is Maggies. I have to say they (the people of roda) really have not idea of what a generous portion is. While on the topic of food, check out the quite ridiculously dressed (so called) captain. It appears he has a taste in ladies sunglasses and i'm sure he's never even set foot on a boat. Sorry if i sound harsh but i really am feed up. The Roda Inn (on the corner is horrible, I really felt like killing the noisy bird they hard outside). On the topic of noise they ride up and down on their sh*tty scooters with the silencers off.

Well I have a week and a half to go and i'm really thinking of going home on friday. The only saving grace is that we'll get a car and go elsewhere on the island.

The only thing I can actually say is good about the place is the Hotel Aphrodite, they really do take pride in the area around the pool. Also the chap who owns Big Ben next door is amusing, he keeps saying "lovely jubly".

Also what amuses me is the fact that people keep comming back here year after year, they are obviously very narrow minded, there is a big world out there.

If you want a nice beach...well a better beach, go to Sidari, again full of chav scum (www.shavscum.co.uk) if you don't know what they are.

In my honest opinion goto Crete, Ag Nic, much nicer. Will not be comming back to Corfu again!! Please feel free to mail me if you need any more info.

Aha one last thing, the cocktails here are tiny! Nothing like Ag Nic.

Cheers

Sunil"

Right explain this to me, im not bald, remotely fat, im not English and i don't have loads of 'sh*tty' tattoos as you put it, and i thouroughly enjoyed myself! What's your prognosis on this??? Are you gonna come back to me with another 'commonsense interpretation' ?

"The only place you can think was good was Maggies?" did you actually take a walk down the main road and stop in any of the traditional Greek places or are you one of these narrow minded Britons that expects there to be British food in a non British place? You talk rubbish in my opinion-the food was fantastic!!!

Another point on why i think you're a typical 'i want, i want' Brit is the fact that you mention the scooters, why shouldnt people who have lived here all their lives turn on thei silencers, how many Brits do you see doing this abroad? Not that many, grow up and stop spitting your dummy!

People around you probably wished you had gone home, you sound selfish and in my humble opinion you're the narrow minded one, you say there are so many places in the world to visit, i feel your problem is that you want 'Britain with sunshine' if you want this go to Benidorm where the Brits have totally and utterly destroyed it!!!

hope you got blootered on your 'tiny' cocktails and lightened up a little bit

Michelle.
