Hi Sarah,we are off to stay in Roda on July 18th as well.We are staying at the Alexandros appts.This is my fourth trip to Corfu and my 3rd time in Roda!Cant help you with the Venus appts,but I can tell you that Road is a nice smallish Resort,mainly yob-free,although it has a couple of football bars,if thats your thing(not ours)It has a nice relaxing,laid back feel to it by day,most restaurants are excellent quality and value for money.I believe there is one disco,many bars and places to eat,nice beach and the locals are much like typical Greeks-'Hospitable are welcoming'.If you fancy a crazy,boozy night out then Sidari is the place.Takes about 15mins by road to get there,and if you are not a drinker then a scooter is the best way to travel(about £10/day)to admire the scenery and hidden bays.Be prepared as it can get very hot this time of year,the second time I went,we got caught up in a heat wave hitting the 40's some days! Roda also boasts a nice small harbour,and many an evening was spent walking off the night's dinner,then straight off to a bar.
